Chilly Gonzales "Knight Moves"

YAY!!!YAY!!!!YAY!!!! I totally did some detective work and tracked down the last track played in the 2nd half of the Chanel Haute Couture 2010/11 show. It's "Knight Moves" by Chilly Gonzales from the album Ivory Tower. I love the way this song builds up, it starts out slow sort of chamber music like, then continues on into an electronic disco world  lined with a silver cloud of happiness and some caviar on a spoon!! If you are having a bad day this song will get you out of your funk FO SHO......

LOVE THIS!!

This is so fun! And it sounds like it should be blasting in a gay night club, so of course the hairdresser in me LOVES IT!!!

Monsters Of Folk The Right Place...

Monsters Of Folk can sometimes sound a bit twangy to me ( I usually despise country or anything that resembles it) but I really like the sound of this sitting in the backyard with the breeze blowing the trees....

Paul McCartney's son James to Release a Debut EP...

 This is awesome, there is so much talent in that family! Can't wait to hear what his album sounds like, he definately has alot to live upto, no?

Out on September 21, the five-track EP is called 'Available Light' and was produced by Paul McCartney. The EP includes four original songs written by James, plus a cover of Neil Young's 'Old Man'. The songs were recorded over a two-year period in the US and at London's Abbey Road Studios.

Life with My Sister Madonna I just got done reading 'Life With My Sister Madonna' by Christopher Ciccone, and it was great! Lot's of juicy details that I was looking for. But interestingly enough the book is more a detailed story about Christopher, his issues with the loss of his mother, living in Madonna's shadow, and how he copes with her insanely uber-controlling tendencies. He gives us quite a different view of all the goings on behind the scenes at the shows, to differences in artistic vision, along with what we as Madonna fans might think is the "real" Madonna, well you are in for a surprise with this one....the dominatrix ever evolving super star that she seems to be, may be exactly the opposite.......Get your copy HERE I got mine used on Amazon for about $4.99..

Stina Persson was born in Lund, Sweden in 1972. She attended the Accademia in Perugia, Italy , traveled to Florence for fashion, then traveled off to Pratt Institute, NY for her major in illustration. René GRUAU was born in Italy in 1909 of an aristocratic Italian father and a French mother, Marie GRUAU, whose name he took. He settled in Paris in 1924 and embarked on his career as a fashion illustrator. His earliest drawings were published in Italy, Germany and England.

From 1935 to 1939, he worked with FEMINA, MARIE-CLAIRE, L'OFFICIEL, L'ALBUM DU FIGARO and other magazines.

In 1946, he did his first job for INTERNATIONAL TEXTILES, whose covers he designed until 1984.

In 1947, his friend Christian DIOR entrusted him with drawing the MISS DIOR advertisement and the famous Bar dress. the New Look was born.

In 1948, he left for the United States to work for HARPER'S BAZAAR and VOGUE, before becoming the exclusive artist for FLAIR.

In 1949, he devoted his time to advertising: ROUGE BAISER, LIDO, MOULIN ROUGE, BEMBERG, BLIZZAND.

Between 1950 and now, he has worked for the greatest names in Haute Couture: BALMAIN, FATH, BALENCIAGA, GIVENCHY, ROCHAS. whilst continuing to produce fashion drawings for ELLE, VOGUE, FRANCE, MADAME FIGARO and L'OFFICIEL DE LA COUTURE.

These  oxford  lace pumps are all the rage right now! And lucky for me I got a pair of taupe suede "look a ikes" at my local Ross store for about $20. These are Casadei Patent Booties from Neiman Marcus and they are a wopping $720, which I find outrageous! So I started to look around to see if there were any cheap knockoffs in black and I found these  Oxford Booties at Alloy for a mere $32......

Cute Fall Boots.....

 The Nine West Korvino  at Zappos for $138 is a great fall ankle boot that you could wear with any of the fall trends. A military jacket, a leather jacket with skinny jeans and a ruffled top. I would even wear them with a cute dress with some tights. I like the way the already look a bit worn in and they come in other colors too.

The Sesto Meucci Kassie at Zappos a little pricey at $360, is absolutely adorable with a suede and embroidered design, they have a very vintage look and could be worn with jeans in the winter, or a cute mini with tights.

The Chinese Laundry Newbie at Zappos are cute too for under $100! With an all black jacket, skinny jeans, and red lipstick on these would look pretty hot!
