Jacob de Graaf - Daily Portrait

I discovered Jacob de Graff's artwork through his Etsy store, then realized he had a blog too called Daily Portrait. He is a dutch artist working in the UK who opened a small gallery of his own in the town of Sloten. He started a blog and set himself a goal to do a portrait a day for one year with some pretty strict rules to follow. He had to finish the portrait and upload it every day before midnight, he was free to use the technique of his choice. The only exceptions for not finishing and uploading a portrait would be  serious illness, natural disaster, or death. I think he is incredibly talented and it is pretty inspiring to say the least that he set and accomplished his goal creating such amazing works of art. He does eyes so intense, like I have never seen!

Tamara Lichtenstein

I came across Tamara Lichtensteins photos ( I wonder if she is related to Roy Lichtenstein?), and found them to be beautiful yet haunting at the same time. She is a US based photographer, that has an eye for capturing a moment of contemplation, even though the subject comes across as a mysterious being. I especially like the first one. Get some of her amazing prints on her Etsy store Tamara Lichtenstein.
